*EDIT* I called Courtesy Nissan and I gave them my VIN and they said it doesn't fall under the group. However, I looked on page 1 on this thread and my VIN does. What should I do?
Make a copy of the recall on this thread and bring the copy with your car to Nissan dealer. Have them run your vin. Maybe they got the Vin # wrong.

Oh I will give that a try next time I swing by to Courtesy Nissan.

I'm just concerned, but it's not like I'm actually having trouble right now. Car is fairly low mileage still (<14k for an 07 lol). I just don't wanna be stuck while driving for embarrassment purposes since my commute to work is mostly local in traffic.

Does anyone know how to check if the recall was already performed? Since I did buy my car used. (Perhaps that is why they are saying it's not needed / in the range)

Dealer looked it up when I asked about getting the CSC done. They said the previous owner had it done when the car had 1000 miles. So it's likely to go out again?

Also anyone have issues with the Throwout Bearing? Techs said that's what causes the popping sounds when releasing the clutch. Dunno if that is CSC related but I'm guessing it is.

I have an '08 and just had my THIRD slave cylinder replaced in the last 2 years. Unbelievable. I also only have around 25,000 miles on the car.

^Stop using stock slave cylinder, it will keep failing with an aftermarket clutch. Get a zspeed slave cylinder, will 100% fix the problem.

I would if I were keeping the car, but since I'm about to have a child (crosses fingers) the Z is about to be sold for a Caddy CTS-V.

Also, I have the stock clutch, just the JWT flywheel.

Who do you get to install it? Any shop or dealer?

Dealer, mechanic, or yourself if you know how to install a clutch.

Have you ever had your TSB on the slave cylinder done?

Has anybody had success recently with Nissan acknowledging the recall? Just started experiencing this (28k 07 base MT). Also noticed the passenger airbag shut off light randomly turns on even when I have a passenger. I saw that was recalled so hopefully I can catch a break.

I had issues with Nissan acknowledging the recall after it was originally serviced. Once the recall has been performed on your VIN, it will no longer show up in the system as needing the recall. Has it been done before? I was able to get them to fix it 3 times, the second time I had to call Nissan USA to force them to fix it under the recall and third time it was within 12 months so dealer fixed it on them.

They said mine was fixed in October of 09 but it really doesn't seem like it. I don't know if anyone else had the passenger airbag recall problem but mine suffers from this but Nissan wouldn't acknowledge it. Since my VIN didn't show under the recall they refused to help. Could they have missed a series of VIN's since my car is experiencing the recall problem to the T but doesn't fall in the recalled group of VIN's?

Wow,guess I got lucky as my original CSC lasted 105K , but then again I dont do burnouts and really abuse my Z.I hear most pop from clutch dumping and some heavy track use.Nissan really dropped the ball, I dont plan on EVER selling the Z but after 5 Nissans this is my last. They always have some type of snafu on their clutches.

do you really want to replace it with something that will go out again (trust me it will) just spend the money and replace with the Z speed setup and call it a day
