part number is 306A1+A. You might want to pick up some parts surrounding this part just in case.
If you didn't receive a notice for the recall or if your vin doesn't fall within the number range, the part cannot be recalled. If it does fall within the range, you should contest with what the dealer is saying. In either case, isn't this covered under warranty?

Well I got my 07 350z about 2 weeks ago (39k miles on it), and sure enough slave cylinder is faulty. I'm waiting on the parts from courtesy nissan to come in, but I got the car stripped down, only thing left is to actually pull the transmission.
Putting in a SS braided clutch line while i'm at it, if it wern't for christmas i'd be slapping a new flywheel and clutch in there as well. Oh well at least i'll know what to expect when i do get to that step

Yesterday on my way to work I noticed that the clutch pressure was a little off and towards the end of my commute (8 miles 20 minutes) the clutch started to stick slightly. I checked under the hood and the clutch fluid level was just under min, so I figured maybe I just need a little more fluid; I went back during lunch to check on the car and there was no fluid at all and sure enough under the car was a pool of fluid.
I called my local dealership where I purchased the car and have had all maintenance
performed, they said there is no recalls for my car and that it was not covered since I don't have an extended warranty and I would have to pay for a diag and what not. So, I called nissanusa and they said that since the recall has been done already it will not show up in the local dealership's system as needing to be done, they also said that I need to pay for it to get towed and for a 1 hour diag to determine what the issues is. If it's not the slave cylinder there is a chance it's not covered under my powertrain warranty, if it is covered under warranty the diag is free and they will reimburse me for the tow.
Has anyone needed the recall to be done more than once?

My 07 . 2mo after I bought it at 55k I had sticky clutch issues also. I too physically pulled it up and gave it a good 50 extra pumps during my drive sitting at intersections and miraciously the problem went away and to this day. No issues
i just purchased a used 07 350z and the Vin falls under this.....the problem i have is that the peedle gets stuck halfway sometimes, has a wierd clicking noise when I push on the clutch pedal and also doesnt seem to shift ver smooth....neither the dealerships nor nissan say I have an oustanding recall ...... how much is this part?

any advise?
My clutch stuck to the floor a couple of days ago, but then came back up about an hour later after I hobbled home. I took it in today to a dealer and they said they didn't find any problems. I guess I'll have to beat on it more and have it fail again before they believe me.
Had my master cylinder go out two weeks ago. They said my car does not fall under the VIN recall, but my extended warranty paid for both the master and slave. Nissan said if the master cylinder fails that they have to replace the slave cylinder also. At first my extended warranty people said that nissan should have to pay for the slave cylinder because of the recall, but they ended up paying for it because nissan told them that this VIN does not have the recall. It is a 2007 model
So I have this problem and apparently I dont fall into the correct VIN numbers. It happened randomly on sudden braking but after the second time it happened I realized it wasnt me being retarded, so I messed around with it. During rapid acceleration the clutch slowy falls to the floor and sticks there. is this the same problem you are experiencing because the Nissan dealer refuses to fix it. When it happens during rapid braking (I cant replicate this one as easily as the acceleration) it makes me sound like a jack *** because sometimes I dont notice right away that its stuck and I rev the engine trying to accelerate and all I get is lots of noise.
I needed the slave cylinder replaced again, this is now the third time. The last time it happened was 01/06/11; 224 days ago. I brought it to the Nissan dealership that has done all my work and it was covered under their 12 month parts and labor warranty.
What I don't get, is I thought they fixed it? It's not like I beat on my car, I baby her and I don't drive a lot... it's odd.

If my 07's VIN (with 13k miles atm) falls in the range (I bought my Z used but I'm not sure if previous owner had this recall done), could I still take it in to the dealer to get the work done? I gots extended warranty.
*EDIT* I called Courtesy Nissan and I gave them my VIN and they said it doesn't fall under the group. However, I looked on page 1 on this thread and my VIN does. What should I do?
