Default Throttle Body Stuck Open!

ok so here's what happened...I replaced my stock NGK plugs for some pulstar plugs..realized my throttle body was dirty so I took some throttle body cleaner and sprayed it in there and wiped the top and bottom down..after a test drive..my idle was high -around 1300..I thought it would go down after the car was driven..so I scanned the car and got a misfire fault which later cleared..I now have a p0805 I think it is idle too high..I took the throttle body out and cleaned it and realized I could not adjust it..what can I do?
I made an apointment with nissan but I know their gunna dick me over...
the car is running like s*** rev it to 4 grand it will pause at 2 then back to a high idle at 1300 rpms..messing up my shifts too..gas milage is horrible 10-15 mpg...
PLEASE HELP

youre probly f'ed if you moved the throttle plate. sometimes the relearn will work, sometimes an ECU reset works, but sometimes its a new throttle body that makes it work

try resetting the ecu, then if that doesnt work you may need to visit the dealer

What happens when you move Throttle plate while battery is connected.

not really sure, but it usually ends in high idle. havent seen any threads about it on hr's, but the de some people get more lucky than others. the best is a simple idle air volume relearn, the worst is a new throttle body. it must have something to do with the drive by wire system getting messed up when manually moving the plate. also, some people have moved it without seeing any problems at all so it seems to be luck of the draw

it is not easy to get this right the first time... it is actualy quite difficult if you have to, use a stop watch...

^ if OP cannot fix the problem by doing the learning pros. , i will say that i am sorry to slam you.

i have removed and cleaned my tb's and had 0 problems. so make that 10 times ? on 5 different ( same tb ) cars. ( including my wife's FX )

don't forget, that 02 max was the firs DBW nissan... so just like a bunch of MAF problems ( i had some ) there could be a few tb problems.

edit : to your edit the 07-08 z can not be the same unit - go look at one

1 more edit: let the op reset the dang thing, before telling him that his tb is dead...

must be bad info from parts site, i figured as much. i told him to idle air relearn, reset ecu and then if nothing works the dealer has your answer.

PS: check what the CEL is for, may be the answer to your question

edit: tac-m, you should go buy a lottery ticket because if you really did clean it and move the throttle plate without running into problems then you are the luckiest person i know, and im being 100% serious
