Default FUJITA INTAKE DEFECT

My car stalled out and completely shut down while on the highway, apparently the design of the fujita intake on the passenger side harness the hood hits the top side of the intake. Had my car towed to the dealership and they will not cover the warrenty because of the aftermarket intake. Still do not know what I will end up paying but the fuses on the ecu might have blown because there is no reading on the diagnostics. I should have installed back the stock intakes before I towed it to the dealer

Just to clarify. The hood was hitting the passenger side intake and that caused the car to stall? Did it break the MAF sensor? I had the Fujita's for a few months and never experienced any type of clearance issues. Something doesn't seem right with the dealers explanation.

Did you maybe not clamp the intake on enough and it shifted upward? Even still I don't see how that would have happend.

Did you install it correctly?

Sounds more like user error.

i think the clamps on the fujitas are horrible, i went over a bump and it became really loose. i just took them off and went with the stock air boxes and i honestly cant tell any difference in power/sound

I had the fujita intakes installed in my car for over a year now..would of went with Nismo but they were not avaliable yet...just make sure all you fujita owners check if there is clearence on the hood and the harness or the car will completely shut down if the wiring gets messed up...going to cost me 425.00..picking up my car later today.

I have my Fujita for over a year nothing come close to touching the MAP wiring... Make sure you install it right !! I put my stock back on and the response time was not as quick and the engine was quite.... With the Fujita intake the response was quick and the engine sound mean.......

Like Kirk said... Make sure the installation is done correctly......clamps and alll..... Fujita isn't my choice but back in the day in early 07 that was the only company that release it first....

Just go with the PopChargers and you'll be fine. CAI isnt worth it IMO.

This is why stock=winner. Now if an intake gained me like 15-20 hp, I would risk it, but with the HR you get barely any benefit from an aftermarket intake, and you lose both money and in some cases, even more money.

True in some cases..but if I had the Nismo the dealer said it would of not voided the warrenty..go figure. And by the way the intake was installed properly just might had a defective one that sat to high.
