Sweet, how you liking the Avic? I figured the GPS was around there somewhere, good to know because that's probably where they stuck mine.
Is Uprev going to have the features that the Cobb has? That was one thing I really liked about he Cobb, the data monitoring and code clearing features.

And loving the Avic, although I've driven my car once in the last 10 days LOL.
peak, looks like they solved my problem, but it was a lot easier to fix then yours ( which i am sure is mine as well ) so honestly i smell a custom tune..... every car is different.

They've responded to my post, so hopefully I'll hear something soon.
The bigger thing is honestly just going through and changing non-peak targets. If they change a matrix in a smooth manner, they will likely solve the problem without even dyno testing.
A higher redline or sharper throttle response would be even better.

No news....
i like my ap...
peak does not...
i would not recommend it right now, but if they get the custom tune enabled and it actually allows for a good tune, it will be a nice little gadget. With stock maps – it sux !

Eh, I like it, its got a lot of useful functions. I just wish the maps were better. I'm going to stop myself from modding my car significantly so its really of no use to me anymore.

I'm sure a pro tuner will be able to make a map that pulls timing, but I don't know if it's available immediately (should be easy to make) or not.
I had planned to do just that, but recent family "stuff" has changed my priorities.

Im still debating wether i should go UpRev or Cobb for the Nitrous tune.

Uprev is the way to go. Just got mine done Yesterday I didn't read any of this thread just posted. And I can't stop talking about how much I like it. If you can go to tampa go to S&R I was there yesterday for the tech day and Jared one of the founders of uprev tuned my Hr car and wow. it was amazing

Yeah, everything is ok, my grandfather passed away and plans I had to trade the old hunting truck he gave me for my dad's old truck changed. It means a lot to my grandmother that I keep the truck and use it, which means that I don't drive my car for really anything other than 40+ mile trips. I have a project I've wanted to build with my dad (1971 Nova) for 6 years now, and have been putting off for like 3 because I can't find a cheap rust free chassis (I'm being cheap cheap), but I've decided I'm just going to build a motor, get a transmission, get the driveshaft sorted (not running anything remotely 70's for the tranny) and start picking up parts for it. That means only spending money on my car on things that are wear items (tires and stuff). No exhaust, intake, suspension, stereo, etc. anymore.
Im sorry to hear that man, cherich the moments you had with him I lost my grandfather way early (and I consider myself lucky amongst a few people I know)... Best wishes to you and your family.
It's been over a year since this post has been addressed. Does anyone know if Cobb has updated maps/firmware to correct the issues that Peak350 experienced with their original HR tune?
An HR owner on a different forum dynoed his HR and the results were a 12 RWHP gain with stage 1, and a 18.6 RWHP gain with stage 2 on the Cobb AP. That is really impressive.

Ok time to share - I have the Cobb Access Port and as Quid pointed out above, with the preloaded Stage 2 map, netted a increase from 244 to 262.6, increase of 18.6. The A/F ratio was way rich as the preloaded Stage 2 map is for additional bolt on's, i.e., High Flow Cats/Test Pipes, Headers, so I loaded the Cobb Stage 1 map that netted a pull of 259.6. See chart below, pulls were done on a Dyno Dynamics dyno.
So this weekend I had a Tune done by HB Speed in Huntington Beach. Also a Cobb approved tuning facility. Thanks to John who did the finger crunching on the laptop and the dyno runs. For a base run, we stayed with the Stage 1 map I had loaded and did a pull of 286.1. Dyno pulls by the way were done on a Dynomite dyno. After a half a dozen or so pulls and number/map crunching by John, we went with a massaged combo/stage 1 & 2 map and pulled 293.1 with the A/F in the 12.5 to 13.5 range. A increase of 7 HP with the massaged map.
A look at the numbers and we see a dyno number difference of 10.24% between the two dyno's. Using that 10.24 percentage, (diff of 286.1 Dynomite run, and 259.6 Dynamics run) the 293.1 from the Dynomite pull equates to 263.09 on a Dyno dynamics. An increase of 19.09 from the Base pull of 244 without the Cobb and stock ECU (JWT intake and Invidia Gemini cat back only mods).

So basically the massaged map is similar to preloaded Stage 2 numbers but with a corrected, more efficient A/F ratio.
So, I wonder if High Flow Cats or a different intake would net any more increases for the NA HR?
Comments?

Hey Arsey, I'll wager that you can get 310 WHP on that DYNOmite dyno with the addtion of the Injen/stillen 3 CAI intakes and a nice set of HFCs. Unfortunately, you will also need to go back for a retune.
How much were you charged for the custom tune at HB Speed?
