This proves that this setup is sick, your car will make more power with the tune, and surpass me, as you got a 6speed. Good work bro!

You can eliminate the rasp by replacing the stock gaskets with new gaskets, just make sure the gasket openings are bored out about 4mm. Align the inside piping of the cats and the exhaust, not the flanges. My car had rasp at 1st and I eliminated it by doing those 2 things

He said his Stock Baseline was 262. And with the Bassani it came in at 275 in this run. So unless he has other mods I am not taking into account, this makes sense?

Not quite. You're a sharp guy . You can't say I got 13 HP from the Bassani. Remember, dynos are really only good in the relative sense and then only on the same dyno with the same operating conditions (meaning same day). Absolute numbers are fun for bragging rights, but operating conditions vary (like baromoetric pressure). This is why I always do a before and after dynos on the same day (And as z-car garage suggests). I can't compare pulls from 6 months ago to yesterday's pulls. It's just tough to explain this all every time

Also, notice that ambient temps went up 6 degrees between the baseline pull for that day and the final pull - for the HFC's and CAIs pulls. So yesterdays numbers don't tell the whole story.

I am less worried about absolute numbers, although they are easier to talk about in the forums, but it's easier to read peak numbers than this whole post - what's important are the relative gains and area under the curve.

It would be cool if the dyno software could pull all your deltas for gains on different days, combine them together, and then draw a base-line below your current numbers to make it easy to see what a combination of mods has done for you.

Below is the Dyno from when I got my Bassani installed. That exhaust netted me 6 HP (peak) and 8 lb-ft torque. But I gained area under the curve from 3k rpms on up - more like 10 lb-ft of torque from 3500-5500 RPMs, but the peak numbers don't tell that story. And the sound was the main goal - which was a clear win for me.

So, adding just the relative peak gains for Bassani, HFCs, and Intakes, I have gaines 27 HP and 24 lb-ft torque over stock. I think this thing will be awesome with a tune and maybe headers.

So just from bolt-ons and NO tune, that's pretty impressive, IMO.

A valid point to consider. To me, intakes have always been more of a sound mod than a power-maker. The previous aftermarket hot-air-intakes for the HR, proved to lose power from stock. I refused to trade power for sound even though it was tempting. The stock intake sound is crappy (IMO - Coffee grinder). I thought the true CAI's would have a better chance at NOT losing power so I went for them. They fact that they made power is a bonus.

But now you all know and can decide for yourself if it's worth it for you.

Would the intakes make more gains on a stock vehicle? Dunno. The stock ECU can only make corrections to a point. Maybe I am pushing that point now so the gains are lower than they'd be on a stock HR.

Or did the intakes only show gains because I freed up air flow in other areas, making the factory intakes a bottleneck in air flow? Dunno

Someone do before and after dynos with these on a stock HR and we'll have a better idea.

Werd... most people look for peak gains instead of the largest gains elsewhere in the curve.

Bill, those are great gains. I only wished DE motors respond well to mods like the HR motors..... Either way, your car is looking great, and can't wait to see the new mods at the next meet. Now, my sight is at the new 370z. I hope the mods for the 3.7 liter will respond just as well.

Thanks Vince. I think the 370 will respond very well. I have seen g37's (on the forums) putting down 330 HP to the wheels with a few mods.

I am torn between a 370 or a GTR next. Sounds silly, but if I bought a GTR, I would have to leave it mostly stock. I would not want any warranty BS on a car that expensive. I prolly couldn't afford many mods either.

The 370 would be a great car to mod and personalize, but I want to see what the aftermarket does with it. I might wait a couple years and buy a used 370.

I think the 370 will be a much better platform to start with than the 350 and it will have more potential. I am still not digging the look of the 370, but I think with a few well-done mods, it'll look a lot nicer to me.

I am itching to drive a 370.

So do these Stillen HFCs utilize ceramic or metallic substrates? Any pictures of them?

Nice numbers. Take it to the quarter mile.

That all depends on what substrate they utilize. Metallic is known to flow much better compared to the traditional ceramic cats, and metallic cores last longer..Piping diameter also plays a role..

If I'm correct for n/a you would want a 2.25"-2.50". Anything bigger will just lose hp/tq and also sound airy. If wrong please correct.
