Default What do you recommend....intake, or HFCs?

Time to make a move....

Berk or FI HFC's or

Injen Dual CAI (the new one).

I have K&N drop ins and been tuned by UPREV already. Now I still have the stock exhaust other than my NISMO muffler. What do you guys think?

you'd probably gain more with the High flow cats.

Why not get both? Seems like a win win there. I don't see why order matters if your going to get both anyway. G/L

Berk HFCs ftw Russ. I've had mine for 10k miles now. HFCs would be more noticable too and give the Nismo exhaust some sound

I am back on the OEM exhaust and I have people ask me what exhaust I am running

Thanks for the info Sick. I will probably hold off on the intakes then and get the HFCs instead. Just waiting to sell a item that will help pay for them!

Cool cool, just a heads up on the install Russ. We have done Berk HFCs on 2 HRs already, and on both installs we broke the top bolt on the passenger side cat. Although its not needed since the HFCs come with new hardware, the bolt is pressed into the OEM cat. If you ever go back to stock, you would have to get it tapped out by a machine shop then just get another bolt.

If you do a search on this, alot of people had the same problem during install.

Oh that doesn't sound good. I am surprised that would be such a issue already with the HR's not being that old.

Thanks for the tip, that will allow me to plan ahead now for this install.

I'm looking at some vids, but not sure if the new HFCs will make it raspy. What are your experiences? I'm looking at the G37 vids, and I put this on my to-do list with exhaust upgrades.

I have the Fast Intentions HFC's on my 08. No rasp, and no CEL. Sounds fantastic with the Intimidator as well.

i have did 3 sets of hr test pipe and high flow cats install and i have broke both top bolts on all 3. seems to be normal to break them. but i would go with high flow cats before intakes. unless you can pick up your injen for 290 as i did =)
