Im in the SAME freaking boat as you Solo. I put on my Berk Metallic HFC's about a year ago. NEVER had an issue. Ran great, Nismo has 4k miles on it or so then the Nismo just started throwing codes about a month ago at random. I finally got ahold of a ODBII reader this morning and as sure as the night is dark, P0420.

Only diff is my car isnt tuned yet. One of the things i been too broke to do yet.

Ill try the seafoam and see what happens. I been running on BP 93 since i got the car, since the BP station is right around the block form my house.

I will keep you guys posted.
did you do the seafoam into a vacuum hose to go inside your engine or only into the tank?

I just used it in the gas tank. Put it in, and then fill the tank up.

Noc, give it a try. It seemed to have worked for me. I wasn't expecting it too, but it did.

have you tried anything to get rid of it?

i have an 07 g35 sedan, and after the first 5k-ish miles of CEL free driving, the light came on out of nowhere. i reset it and it came back about 200 miles later. i called Berk and theyre sending me the stainless steel wool to wrap my sensors. hopefully that works..

mark I would try what I did. Because if you didn't change anything then your car isn't running as efficient as it was so the SeaFoam helps that.

Put the Seafoam in the gas tank only when you fill up. It is a fuel injection cleaner as well.

my car has 27,000 miles on it, i really don't think seafoam is necessary. plus, it would only be a temporary fix. the way Berk explained it, i think the stainless steel wool SHOULD work. they said it'll raise the temperature of the sensor by about 300 degrees fahrenheit. i know theres nothing wrong with my exhaust system or my engine, the car is just not used to that much airflow going through the converters. i'll give the SS wool a shot, and see how that goes. if that doesn't work, i'll call Berk again and see what they say after that. if they don't give me another method to try, then i guess i'll just sell them? i dunno

My car only had 14,800 miles on it, and it was obviously necessary. They tell you to run the stuff every oil change. The wool will help, but you drove many miles before it went off. So your car became less efficient. If it worked for me it will work for you. It won't hurt for you to try before you put the wool in there. So go put seafoam, fill up, and reset your light afterwards.

so i get in my car this morning, and my CEL is gone. =) i have no idea how or why that happened, i didn't reset it or anything, i did nothing to the car, and i know its extremely rare for CEL lights to just go out by themselves, but hey i'm not complaining. Berk is sending me the SS wool, but its taking a while to get here. regardless, when it gets here i'm still gonna put it in, just to help avoid this again, but it just goes to show just how sensitive our ECU's are. lets hope it doesn't come back on..

I have the latest ones from Berk.
Got the same code yesterday. The code was deleted and so far so good. Next week I'm having the non foulers installed. Hopefully the SES light wont come back on. My mechanic said that I wont need the brillo packing.

Well i cleared my code last week and threw in some top shelf Shell Fuel Inj cleaner the day after during a fill up. So far i put on about 350 miles and no SES light. And i've done everything from driving like a granny to driving like a mad man. I dunno.

But having said that i'll jinx myself and it will go on tomorrow morning on the way to work.
