You have got to be kidding.. I was looking into buying the berk Hi flow's if it's throwing a SES light.. Screw that. Will the Stillen high flows throw the same light?

Berks are just as good or better than the others. Any of them can throw the light. The HR O2s behind the cats are very sensitive.

sooooooooo..........what i am gathering here is that getting either HFCs or test pipes will give me annoying CELs and ghetto fixes are required?

does anyone make a product like this that promises no CELs?

Ghetto Fixes are something I don't look foward to... It sounds nasty but I don't think im going to do it untill a someone promises no CEL's ..

please explain what makes this "Ghetto"

Ghetto is using wood screws to hold a body kit.
Ghetto is to get your mods off the shelf @ your local Pep Boys.
Ghetto is a whistle tip on your exhaust.

I can go on.... I just cant connect ss wool in a bung that cant be seen with the o2 in place as being ghetto

If you mod your car, you expect to do little things like this to prevent lights, etc. If you don't like to have issues like this, then modding is not for you.

To a degree... I know what you are saying about the modding but for something as simple as a test pipe which is considered a bolt on.. I want efficancy.

And you are messing with the emissions on the car and expect it to work the way it came from the factory with aftermarket stuff on it? No.

I don't expect it to work like it did out of factory... I expect it to proform better then it does out of factory.. Hence why I would like to mod it.

It is Obviously clear that I am messing with emissions therefore, I wouldn't expect it to pass an emissons test if anything. But to throw a Code from a simple bolt on is quite ridiculous. I think I will wait this one out untill a manufactur see's that this is a problem and they WILL fix it.

It's better safe then sorry, I wouldn't want the code and when something DOES go wrong I won't have the slightest clue...

I don't understand why you can't comprehend this. You wouldn't expect it to pass emissions when it will with HFCs from Berk, but when you are cleaning the gases less than you were stock and it is causing the readings to no longer be in the tolerable range the ECU has set, then it WILL throw a code.

There will NEVER be one when you mess with HFCs or Downpipes. Till you understand that messing with the exhaust and removing the cats or putting higher flow ones that clean less, you can't get away from this.

i don't know why, but i'm surprised nobody has developed an o2 simulator yet. Perrin has been making these for the WRX for years...

maybe when i get my test pipes i'll give the perrin units made for the WRX a try?

I'm just blown away because the older regular VQ's do not have this problem with test pipes. WHY would they make these o2' sensors more sensitive. Its ******** if you ask me.. Someone Will come up with a way to get around this
