this goes to show you much potential the 370's have when they are hitting 300whp with exhaust and no tune on a Dyno Dynamics. HR's throwing the kitchen sink into the breathing mods and tune only to dyno short of 300whp on a Dynojet.

 

Do you guys have different rims? bigger brakes? stuff like that also affect whp on a dyno.

 

Wow you have GOT to be kidding.. With Intake a FULL exaust and a tune these cars cannot break 300whp? This BLOWS....

different cars, different outputs.. u can't find 2 stock cars with the same HP/TQ outputs, not even if u put on the same parts..

Thats CRAZYNESS.. Werent the DE motors producing 260-280 to the crank? How the HELL do you loose THAT much horsepower?

Now I uderstand what he was saying and I am well aware that every car is different but in your case 209whp is just depressing. And im sure if you complained to nissan they would give you the whole BS lecture about ethier the car not being broken in properly or constantly being beat on..

i dont know why you are complaining, my 07 nismo puts down 294 rwhp, i have stillen headers, fast intentions resonated test pipes and dual exhaust, nismo intake and uprev tune.

stock my car was 244. thats a huge gain. my car at the motor was 306 horse, now it is over 350. thats great for a v-6 with no internal motor work. add heads, cam, and do a build on it and it will be around 350 rwhp. cant ask for much more without boost.

if you want more power you will have to put down more $$$$.

i think the z is made for handling more than speed. put your money into the handling and it will be a much more fun ride. how often can you really speed around? handling is always there.

 

I think hes complaining because his Z isnt putting out the power he wants or the power it should be putting out... Even with the mods he has the VQ shold be putting out more HP then his is..

 

HR's MAY be different, but other than a few salesman, I have yet to see headers make power on any NA Z with minimal mods. Years ago my NA Z's tuned power curve looked better than Z's with similar mods and headers.

Agreed.. The VQ doesnt produce enough volume for headers to be effective.

Headers on the VQ are just a waste... But the products are marketed very well so people seem to believe otherwise...!
