Default New to the Nissans, What are some good brands?

i grew up racing hondas, and blowing up their motors to rebuild and do it all over again, im the first to get something that wont worry me to park in a movie theatre, and to try something new.

most of the guys i race alongside with have no idea what nissans are capable of...so im getting my first Z....

usually with any motor, u start from the basics...stronger headstuds, better gaskets, bigger bores, better performance pistons wether it be for low compression turbo builds or high compression all motor applications...

what are the basics to building a strong and reliable boosted motor capable of 400-425 ponys to the wheels?

i will deffinitely be investing into the oh so great and mighty Greddy Twin Turbo application that everyone is talking about but what about the motor itself, i dont wanna blow it up...

what are some serious names when it comes to ordering parts....?

if you buy an 07-08 u really wont have till worry about internals till way down the road. also forget about the greddy kit look into aam (altered atmosphere) they have some great products i believe they have a special for the 350z going on there custom tt kit parts installation and tune for like 12k there kit also allows u to use the front bumper core support or somthing like that so u can keep your insurance.

also where in ny are u im on long island

Greddy TT seems to be the safest and most reliable kit out there, or so ive heard. You're block should hold atleats 420whp for a good while before it goes.

Look into forged performance, they got some nice stage 1 shortblocks. You dont have to go shopping cuz they know whats best.

hi and welcome,

i however think you should really do some searching for your questions as some of your past threads reflect the need to......

your previous experience isn't the same as some of the questions your asking seem to stem from your previous mechanic work........turning a wrench is....so that will help you.......but knowledge of the engine and its capabilities i feel you need to read more up on before you go tearing into a new Z.

It's a lot more expensive to mod a Z than a Civic.

If you're buying a 2005, you might also consider running stock HR headgaskets and head bolts.
