Right on, keep us posted.

This is definately something I would consider purchasing. I don't consider myself mechanically inclined enough to even begin this modification, so will there be some sort of instructions with this kit so that our local mechanic could do this for me or us?

ok, I see no updates.
I have few questions:
who had the issue with the CSC, did you replaced with the revised part # CSC AND revised clutch lines?
original P/N are 306A0+A (CSC) and 306A0+B (lines).. revised ones (found also on the 370z) 306A1+A and 306A2+B.... 120$ in parts that to me sounds good to be replaced if you replace the clutch.

and questions about clutches:

1) so far we got that exedy has the "weakest" pressure plate (closest to stock) for stage 1 and 2... anybody here tried that?

2) does an exedy flywheel NF05 works with a stock clutch / pressure plate? ( the Stage 1 and 2 clutches should work with the stock flywheels.. but I don't know if the opposite works in the same way)

the exedy clutch for the HR has not yet been released last I checked - it's 'coming soon' (no date specified)

no idea on the flywheel - the Exedy flyheels for these cars are very expensive so they are not popular choices

Is the recall....or replaced CSC a better part than the one that came on the car? Is it any different? Or does the recall one still fail with high pressure plates?

My z is getting the recall done and I was going to do a clutch and flywheel now since the tranny will be out. but......

I guess I will wait for more updates.....

good looking out on this solution midz350

The newer one fails too. Midz350, did your mechanic fab a custom bracket for the new slave setup?

we're working on having the items packaged together - should have it up on the site by Friday with packages being ready to ship on Monday for those interested

As far as the Exedy setup, it's only being sold as a clutch/flywheel combo. We will have these available for purchase as of Friday as well

Z1 ftw!

I am glad a solution is being worked on.....I bought my Z becuase I thought it would be easy to modify.....

Not having an aftermarket clutch would be a major crutch....

hey, in the thread with your vids you said that shifting got louder (or something like that, don't remember the exact words). is it much louder than stock? is the vid a proper representation of what it sounds like in real life or does the vid exaggerate it?

No, the vids exaggerate the sound way more than in real live, actually a friend of mine thinks the sound of my clutch is way quieter than his twin HKS clutch in his Evo.

Cool, nice to hear the kit will be avaliable soon!

So, on top of acquiring the Z1 CSC kit, we will also need to "fab a custom bracket for the new slave setup"? midz350, is there anything thing else to consider or anything thing else to fab?

Since the kit won't have any instructions, I'm guessing we'd rely on our local mechanic to figure this out? Too bad a stronger CSC couldn't have just been created or corrected by simply modding the existing CSC. I'm sure it's not that simple =P
