I am having some problems with my intakes. Whenever I am idling at a stop light/stop sign/in the driveway there is an annoying rattle coming from the intakes. I know it is the intakes because when I look at them one of the air filters is against the metal impact brace in the front bumper. The other side is perfectly fine but I have tried uninstalling it and then reinstalling it and still the same fitment issue... I took it to a dealership to try as well and it is still hitting.. Anything I can do?

hey bone stock 07 350z (quaife LSD & 4.08 gears awaiting install) here, looking at getting these intakes. i saw something about having to drill out or enlarge something. if i had to go back to stock for a dealership visit would the dealership be able to see this drilling or enlarging in plain view?
and also, any word on the last few posts about some annoying rattle at idle? im not down for that...

Having mine installed by Clint this Wednesday, the awesome GTR tech at Clear Lake Nissan in Texas along with the HKS, berk HFC's and JWT flywheel. After that it's a tune then back on the dyno.
I have my stock dyno reading so I'm pretty interested to see the gains. When I get results I'll post both slips up.

No idea what HP, if any they out put because I installed a lot over the weekend as far as bolt ons, but they sure attracted a crowd at the car show. Not sure if it's the HKS/Berks or the CAI.....no, it's all that makes this LOUD as hell at WOT! Also zero drone on the highway. LOVE IT!
Yes, I KNOW my engine bay is dirty as hell. STEP OFF! I will clean it soon!!
Btw- Great customer service and fast shipping on these. Only thing is they're a b-i-t-c-h- to install. Not something rook could do in a few hours.

Installed these over the weekend. And yes, for intakes, they were a pain in the **** to install. But it wasn't as bad as I was expecting (definitely not as bad as the CAI install on my fox body mustang). I didn't even have to cut larger holes in the radiator support like I had read needed to be done. Just remove the engine cover, stock air ducts, and front bumper. Then relocate the horns (I just enlarge the horn brackets' bolt holes and moved them to the hood latch mechanism's bolts).
Took me about an hour and a half with no instructions and learning how to remove the bumper for the first time.
From the front:

My horn placement (looking through the hood latch hole):

Guys with your intakes hitting the strut bar. Are you for sure it is hitting the strut bar #1. #2 mine was ratteling inside the holes in the radiator support when i installed mine as i did not use the crap brackets they sent with it. I took some rubber hose and cut it down the middle on one side, then inside the duct hole i ran it all the way around with the slit going over the support. stopped all my ratteling.
