Is it a cold start?

Mine at first start is at about 1400, then 1200, then 1000

If its only 30 seconds, i probably wouldn't worry about it.

Different engine, different operations

The colder it is, the longer the warmup(high idle).

It's perfectly normal.

it's fine. my hr does it also when its cold. it goes around 1800, then drops after 30 sec. now if your transmission sounds like a super charger like mine did. then go to the dealer and have it replaced.
