we built our own engine harness to work with S14 body harness. We did use the factory ECU with Osiris software. The owner plans on drifting the car.

We are building BC coilovers S14 Redline time attach with a HR and twin turbo set up. The owner of BC was verry happy to see us complete this daily driver

to the guy ask about the hr to de swap, there are alot of threads out there on the subject. Also, hmm was it hard making your own harness for the car? For the people with de who are looking into doing the swap, would you be willing to create a market of a working wiring harness for the older De to accept a HR.

Exactly the same question I asked essentially.

Can you swap it in w/ zero issues and ac intact???

oh and it would be a de to hr swap.

from what i've understood we might as well try to swap a vg30dett
for all intensive purposes.

Even with a killer deal on hardware, adding in the cost to get it running, it'd probably be really close to just trading in the non-HR Z for an HR Z.

It wasn't that bad in building a harness. However we built our own dash cluster. Stock S14 does not not have cam bus.

I don't see any real hard reasons why you couldn't put an HR into a DE hole.
You will need the HR trans

For about the same amount of money you can buy some type of F/I system.

It really depends on the engine you buy. This set up had about 900 miles on engine and trans. The cost for the drive train was around 5K. The customers total bill was around 9k and this included the 1500 dash tach.

The only problem we have the car is the 4th gear!!.......Its still roasting the F-ing tires off.

I have a question about the cluster can bus problem... Did you have to run a custom cluster, or run a Later model Nissan cluster that supports the same Can-bus as the stock HR runs? I am looking into doing a HR swap with Osiris and stock ECU into another vehicle but and trying to sort all the other bugs out with the swap, mainly with the electronics..
