I don't own a nismo, but I've heard bad things about the Stillen Y-Pipe (quality)...

the exhaust on the nismo models is not a nismo s-tune exhaust, is the same as the regular stock exhaust just with bigger tips and i believe the muffler is shiny lol, but either way same **** . most aftermarket Y pipes are larger diameter than stock so just changing the ypipe wont do much since the mid pipe and muffler are smaller diameter.

I've always wondered this same question.
I assumed the nismo came with the S-Tune exhaust.
But now I know.

OP. Just get a full cat back! You won't be disappointed.

But sorry to say its the same as stock. The S tune runs 3" piping. Stock is 2.5"

Here it is side by side. The left is a stock nismo the right is S-tune. See the diff in piping?

Also Y pipes do little to the sound its just the sizing of the pipe in relation with the setup. Most aftermarket Y pipes are 2.5" in and 3" out. Hell even a Megan Y pipe will give a better sound than stock. It just boils down to quality. Nismo Y pipe are notorious for breaking TP and HFC.

Nismo Z exhaust is the same as regular HR exhaust.. just with a slightly different muffler that has bigger tips. Power is the same.

I would say motordyne anything aswell....

Knowiing what I know now, I would have had a muffler shop make an exhaust. A good shop would be able to make an exhaust fit closer to the car's frame rather than hang low. PLUS cheaper.

It's close, but the S-Tune is smaller. See here:

is the y-pipe the same on all 350Zs? I mean DE35DE vs. HR, a lot af stores claim the only fit 2003-2005. My Scorpion-exhaust did the same but it fitted perfect
