Default oem rod bearings

I was wondering when the oem.rid bearings start to fail hp wise.. ? I was at an event this past weekend and now have rod knock my current setup is putting 586whp and 470 tq . Im under the assumtion the reason the bearing went because of the oil 10w 40 becoming to thin because of the heat . Any ideas opinions would be appreciated

Sorry for your troubles!! First what brand 10w40 were you running?? I would only run Amsoil or Mobil1 racing oil (not the regular mobil one you can get at Walmart). I would suggest a good oil cooler as well, oil matters. There are only a few true synthetics on the market these days and the rest are fakes...I've been running 10 pounds of boost on a stock de motorin my S13 for 2 1/2 years now but I use Amsoil 10w40 and I beat the crap out of that car, so far so good. My next project does involve th HR and I seen where King make a great Bi-metal bearing ....
