Sell it and buy something worth driving!!

Just kidding. I don't know anything about Altima's but maybe try calling a Nissan Dealership and talking with Parts or a Master Tech. If that's not available to you, PM me and I can go down to mine and see what I can dig up.

Your Altima has both intake and exhaust cam phasing?

Call JWT, they know the VQ better than anyone.

To be honest, it uses the same block as the HR; it's a legitimate question. The CVT has a mode where it shifts through gears like an automatic.

You may want to check Maxima.org for FWD VQ35 answers

(7th gen Maxima uses HR heads and cams on a VQ35DE block)

http://forums.maxima.org/all-motor/6...vq35-info.html

https://my350z.com/forum/other-vehic...ng-vq35hr.html

The Altima motor only has variable intake. Where the 09+ Maxima has both variable intake and exhaust with less aggressive cams (HR Type).

ive done posted and pmed you about this.

HR cams are what you need. its pretty simple....

you can go stock RWD hr, or aftermarket HR either way with a tune you will have improvements.

my thread on maxima.org has more then enough info, so does my site, www.VoltageDrop.net
