PCV Bypass
Hey guys! New Z owner here (2 months) made my first mod and wasn't expecting much but am surprised. I bypassed my pcv system and noticed an immediate power increase in the low end. Small, but it's there. Also in just a few days of driving my mileage has increased .40! So everybody Thank the EPA for making our engines dirty and costing us gas money.
pics of my work. Got all my parts from good 'ol autozone.
Update : after a couple of weeks driving with this mod, my mileage has increased a full mile from 16.6 to 17.6

Yes it is an old school valve cover breather. So any blow by pressure can escape. Autozone trip was $40 and consisted of a couple vacuum caps, a couple of bolt hole seals (insert into the intake tube) and a vacuum hose and breather.

I've attempted this. There is a vent with PCV lower on the block. There is an open vent at the top of the block with no valve. They connect together with a vac tube and also connect to both intake pipes, as well as intake manifold. Everything should get blocked off except for the two engine block vents. I don't know why the OP has sealed the PCV valve. As I understand, under different RPM the pressure shifts from one vent to the other. I don't think it's a good idea to seal off either of the breathing ports. I put the same breather on the two vents. The breathers are baffled, and as long as they stay upright, I think there will be no oil soak. After 35 miles both are dry. The only issue is the smell when the car is stopped. I believe it's the PCV side that produces most of the gas. Will see, if I can route that side differently but still keep the plumbing simpler than the original PCV hose maze.
