Default Nismo Oil Pump

Well guy I hope I don't get flamed for this, there is this guy selling a Nismo oil pump and he has it advertised a VQ35DE and VQ35HR compatible. I even email him asking if he even knew if the pump is interchangable or not. He said he responded right away saying he was a master tech and that they are definitely interchangable. The part number is 15010-RRZ30, again I am only asking because I myself am not a "Nissan Master Technician" everyone's I up is greatly appreciated. BUY or NOT BUY

Exactly what I found online, but the guy is persistent that it does fit the HR motor. I am going to msg him to let him know that he is false advertising, I can already imagine an HR owner buying this DE Nismo pump and then getting screwed with the No Refund!!!!

Yup read all of these very good info. It even looks like the HR oil pump is pretty stout compared to the DE one, but since I am literally going all out in my built motor I don't know if I should skip doing the Nismo oil pump or leave the OEM one.

NISMO competition oil pump with steel gears for the VQ35HR / VQ37VHR. Based on experience in competition with the RB26, this oil pump for the HR / VHR uses SCM material for gear machining to help avoid the oil pump gear damage that can occur during overruns caused by miss-shifts and other conditions.

* For 8,500 rpm

Infiniti G35 Sedan 2007-2008, Infiniti G37 2008+

Nissan 350Z 2007-2008, Nissan 370Z 2009+

Cannot be used on VQ35DE models.

I was going to get it but, I read the pump is more for auto cross competition for when people G - load their cars to keep that oil pressure up. So it will increase oil pressure and rob us of horse power. And since I'm only using my beast in the street it would be considered a handicap. I'll just keep my RPM under 8K.

Sorry to bump an old topic, but I did some research and it looks like the loss would be like 2-5hp. Wouldn't that be more than made up for if you're revving to 8500 and have cams/springs and other supporting mods for the redline you're trying to reach?

im going to run the nismo pump on my setup. I could care less of couple of horse power getting robbed for the reassurance no gear damage at 8k or higher redline with my cams.

Thanks, I found that too. But, that isn't even in the nismo catalogue. Strange.
