Default Differential question..

Sorry if this in the wrong area I'm new to the forum. But I have an 08 base model 350z and I was wondering if a differential from an automatic will fit into mine? I have a 6sp MT, thanks in advance.

The differential pumpkin will bolt right in, but you don’t want to do this switch. The rear drive ratio for a 6-speed manual Zs is 3.538 to 1; the ratio for automatic Zs is 3.357 to accommodate the auto trans. This swap will severely hurt the acceleration potential of your Z.

Quaife diff will be the best $ you can spend on a base HR. Second will be good tires.

I got a manual VLSD from a member on here last year. Installed it with Whiteline inserts and once tax season is over I will be installing the diff brace I bought. You don't realize how bad the open diff is until you switch it out.

So can someone explain me what the main benefits will be when changing out the OEM diff for let's say a Quaife LSD?
I never really pushed the car to extremes like on a track or something but i do know that i really need to push it to lose grip/control.

Edit: Another thing, are there any complete diff that is better then OEM for direct replacement? I believe the Nismo version has a different diff then normal versions?
I am thinking of a direct swap instead of having to split the diff and change out internals.
