I purchased a 2009 350z Enthusiast Roadster Automatic with 87k miles. It chatters on the rear. At first i thought it was the muffler but then i used a stéthoscope and can hear the rattling chatting very loud coming from inside the engine. Oil level is okay. What should i do? Take it to the dealer? Or a regular mechanic?

 

Welcome- your description is misleading. If your ZR "chatters on the rear", that usually means the rear axle, diff or even a driveline problem. But then you say the sound is coming from the engine? Hard to say what to do, but start by pulling codes from the onboard diagnostic system.
