Default Engine Lopes

2007 Enthusiast. Dedicated track car. Been sitting in a garage for 4 months due to COVID and no track days.

Battery dead as expected. Jump start it. Runs and idles fine for about 5 minutes and then starts loping between idle and 2000 rpm. Drive it around for a while. Still doing it.

Anybody have any ideas? Air filters look fine. No codes.

Check to make sure the MAFS are clean and properly connected. The idle shifting back and forth can be a sign the ECM isn't getting a clean signal.

Thanks. I'm not even sure where those sensors are but I unplugged the plug that goes into the air intake just behind the filter boxes and then plugged them back in. Started the car about an hour later and no more loping. Not sure that was what fixed it but it seems to be fixed for now anyway. I think there is nothing worse for a car than leaving it sit for long periods.
