Did you try "Tunerworks"? I don't know if they know much about Z. If not, search the forum, you will learn a lot from this site or: http://www.*********.com/zwiki/*********

When you say "tuner".. do you mean someone that will sell you parts or someone who has ECU tuned a Z?

Where are you in Alberta? I am not aware of any Z-specific shops in Calgary, like there are in the States.

In Calgary, I have found Tunerworks to be good for parts if you know specifically what you want and they sell it. I'm not sure about Speedtech, but when I contacted them for a quote on Endless brakes they didn't even bother to get back to me.

For ECU tuning (although I haven't done this myself) in Alberta, I wouldn't go anywhere else but RCTS. They are a HKS prodealer that has tuned F-Con 350Z's. www.monsterhorsepower.com. However, that being said, they are expensive. They did my 3.9FD/Quaife differential.

If you are talking ECU tuning and were willing, I would go to the states instead to get your car tuned by any of the many Z-specific shops that are sponsors on this board.

Hope that helps. Feel free to contact me by PM if you have more specific questions.

I am looking for someone to actually tune for me. I did send an email to Reg at RCTS. just waiting for him to get back to me. I know he is big on the F-con. but i dont really wanna spend 5,000$ to tune my car for the basic bolt ons i am adding. so i am hoping he has some other options for me.

i havent been overly impressed with speed-tech myself. but i wasnt sure about their experience with the Z's. i did alot of work with them on my old B18 powered civic. and seemed knowlegable about hondas.

Agreed, RCTS is big on the Vpro, and it will cost you about $5K with them. What ECU unit are you looking at? Let me know what Reg says about any other options he may have. Last I checked (couple years ago), he had a F-Con-?Z or S? from a wrecked HKS supercharger kit. Perhaps he would sell and tune that for less, I don't know.

Tunerworks is a TurboXS (UTEC) dealer but I don't think they do any tuning themselves. I think they sell TurboXS mostly for their subaru's. Wouldn't hurt to ask them who does their subaru tuning for them.

I'm sure you have looked at this, but with minor bolt on's, a reflash or osiris is an option. Mail order tunes have their limitations but may be the option you are looking for in your price range?

ya a reflash is kind of what i was thinking. its just bolt ons, so really i just need something to keep my AFR's in check. and wont retard the heck out of my timing.

my honda had a hondata system. which you could set fuel maps on a laptop, and adjust timing. then burn the settings to a chip. i dont know if anything like that exists for the 350z??

Go to the tuning section and search Osiris. It is the closest to what you are looking for in my understanding. You send them your modification list and they send a "closest" tune. I also thought I read sometime that afterwards, you can dyno, send them the results including A/F and then they can try and retune for you.

I also see COBB tuning is coming out with an AccessPort - similiar - also read about it in the tuning section.

Lightspeed Innovations in RedDeer is a very knowledgeable shop and great for buying parts and standalone EMS but they dont do ecu reflashes for Zs yet. There is a shop in RedDeer that does uprev but I wont recommend them.

I am in Calgary. I bought some tires from Tunerworks before. I don't really know them. I have 07 Z, VQ35HR; it doesn't seem like there is any reflash available yet for this engine. I have been keeping an eye on Technosquare and looks like there is going to be one available from them soon.

Default If you are in Vancouver

There is a shop in Richmond, just outside of Vancouver, called ztune. They cater to all of us Z-heads. You can also check them out online, ww.ztune.ca I was there last week and I was in Heaven! Good to see some West Coast posts!

well if you are trying to make a plug for your business here. a website or something would help a little. and why would i contact UPREV, for questions about VEX?? if VEX was going to be tuning my car. then i would want to talk to someone there first. i already know about the UPREV product. so contacting them, isnt goign to help me a whole lot.

IF any one is looking for a tuner that knows Nissan then speaks to owners whose cars work and run consistent, Sylvan Lake V35 does not have an uprev reflash to my knowledge and his car has not been to vex shop.

I think I will trust Sylvan on this one, if you are the shop he is talking about. For a first post and as a shop representative, your grammar and spelling is atrocious. Not a good first impression.

I am not saying dont take your car to them I am simply saying I dont know anyone who has got thier car tuned at Vex. So I cant give an honest recommendation and I take associating my name with a shop serious. If you guys get your cars tuned by VEX share your experience with us all.
