im in edmonton also!! but i had to put on some mich alpins a couple months ago since my winter ride was on its way out.
so the z has been riding dirty for a couple of months. It will be getting some bodywork tlc to reverse the damages of the winter but it was no problem getting around- it was actually quite fun.
at first i was hating the idea of subjecting the Z to edmonton winter but then i said, fuggg it its a car and i bought it to drive it!!! plus i will be able to justify a fresh paint job to make it better than new sooner than if it was the garage queen.
so with that said if any of you western canadian guys are upgrading to a body kit and have your front bumper cover taking up space let me know i would love to have a fresh one for summer and my current one for winter-

i went with michelin pilot aplins, unfortunately they did not have the proper sizes in PA3's so i have a pair or pa2's, and a pair of pa3's to match the stagger, but they are the same speed rating and similar thread (cant remember which are on front or back at the moment).
i think the alpin's are great for the winter but i have heard local guys say how bad they sucked compared to the blizzaks (not local Z guys, just from a local forum), from my experience i like them but if had more time to shop around i may have tried to source out the blizzak lm22 in my sizes.
I agree about the nice roads west of calgary, it is a very nice ride up through the mountains and that new bridge close to golden gives some good uphill runs to let the car scream!!!
