Sold my 17's and track tires and picked up a Corolla GTS, so I've been driving that all season. There are definitley give and takes, and the Z is infinitely faster especially on bigger tracks like Infineon and Thunderhill, but the Corolla is well suited to Mission. I do feel the lack of torque and hp on the front straight but it's still very fun in the corners. Plus it's fun catching bigger displacement cars with a monsterous 113 hp (at the crank)
Car is still mostly stock aside from some necessities but I'm building it up to to handle r-compounds next season. Should be a lot faster at that point. I took a year layoff from tracking cars but drove with: PDC, UBCSCC, and Inside Line this season. I'm forgetting one other. Liked Inside Line the most as we had a lot of track time and we had 2 experienced groups broken up by hp which is nice when you are driving a Corolla. Plus a co-worker of mine is the guy who organizes the Inside Line days.
See you there, should be a fun day!

That's the main reason I wanted something else for the track - to keep my street cars clean
