I purchaed a 2003 Touring with 17k miles.

After taking it to a dealership for a state inspection etc...I was told the pads were very worn and might need to be replaced.

Thank god I have a Stop Tech Kit on order.

I have 11700 on my touring and I have only 80% of wear on my brakes. I drag and autocross in my car all the time. My brakes squeek but that is only because of the cold air, condesation and mixer of brake dust on the rotators which can last like a couple of days to a little less than a week and a half. It comes and goes but when summer time hits, no probs what so ever.

I have 53k miles and I'm about to go in for my 3rd brake job. I've been told it's about average for the breaks to wear out this fast, although I have a feeling it's how people drive their Z's that causes it.

Btw... why is this thread titled "350z Racing hart c4 rims 19"? I have those rims so that's what got my attention...

I destroyed my brakes and rotors at around 13k so you're doing better than I did. The stop tech stage 2 kit fixed me right up without breaking the bank. How can you tell its time to replace the pads? My Hawk HPS pads have been squeaking since day 1... I have close to 30k miles now.
