Default Looking for new summer tire

Hi

I have to buy new tire (all 4) for my ZR in the next day and I really don't know what brand or model to choose. I'm looking for a tire who's durable, good handle on dry and wet condition. I know when I'm looking for something durable, I can lost a little bit on the handle on wet condition.

I had the feathering prob and my dealer never want to change it, so I did aroun 10 000km (6000 miles) on original tire, so forget about getting the same tire, btw I hate them.

Any suggestion?

Thanks for your help

Check out the Pirelli P Zero Nero. The have a 400 tread wear rating. They get high numbers for dry and wet driving, and have a very low road noise factor. The bets part is the price. Very big band for the buck and they look really nice to boot. Here they are on my ride. Just installed yesterday. That is the 275/40 X 9.5 rear.

I have to say that even though they are rated as an Ultra HP All Season, they look and ride like a Summer tire. Like I said they are an unbelievable value. Other tires of this size and rating are +$300. I paid $210 for the 275s. Can't be beat and Pirelli is top notch and has that cashe factor.

Are they like the discontinued P7000? Because I read a lot about pzero (when they did only 1 model) and they was good for only like 5000 miles.

Don't know what you are talking about, but everything I have read about the P Zeros is only good. Do a search for testing data on them. They rate very high in all categories. The dealer who sold me the tires said they were probably one of the best tires he carried. He could have pushed a much higher priced tire like the Yokos or Michelins, but said the Pirellis were top notch.

I just check and they did'nt make for original size. I need 225/45R18 in front and 245/45R18 back.

I check with my tire dealer and they said they don't make 225/45 but they make 225/40 and for the back they did it.

It's ok 225/40??

Edit: Well, I check with Canada and it's not the size or model...so weird.

Finally, I found 235/40 for front and 245/45 for rear in the pirelli pzero nero.

Honnestly, I think it's the best choice for all what I read on the net since this morning.

So if someone think it can be a problem for the front, tell me pleaze.

Go on: www.tirerack.com and look. I would recommend you do your search by tire brand Vs vehicle/rim size. Then go into spec. for that particular brand and see what is available. If that fails, call Tire Rack and speak to Reggie. 800-428-8355 EXT 644

Well I'm from Canada, so the site is perfect for research, but unfortunatly, the disponibility is not the same here so I have to deal with.

Try looking at Goodyear Eagle F1s. I just put them on my 2004 and they handle really well. I got the recommendation from the Z club president in Texas. He got 28k on the tires (he got the car aligned every 6k to 9k miles). I bought them from Tire Rack .com.

Toyo Proxes T1-R, they are new from 2005.
