Default Anyone bent their RH Pro J5 or J8, any pics of the WedsSport TC-005

I've been looking at rims and the 18" vs 19" controversy, yes ive searched this in the forums. i know i want a 9.5"-10.5" width in the rear and 8.5"-9.5" in the front. i would prefer a 18" rim but ive only seen RH Pro j5 and j8 s in 19". do they only come in a 19"?So, is bending an issue with these rims? How big of a pot hole do you have to hit to bend a rim? Are Rh Pro's forged, making them a little stronger, right? am i overworried about bending 19"s

Has anyone looked at or bought the WedsSport Tc005? it looks pretty sweet on the z at http://www.tirerack.com/upgrade_gara...&autoYear=2004 i dont know if its available with an offset with a good sized lip though. It comes in 18"x 8.5", 9", and 10". what do you guys think about it?
Anyone have pics of a Z with these on it? thanks

I've hit many pot holes, my J8s hold up well. They come in 18s also, seen them on an accord.

my j5s are fine against pot holes.
just check the air pressure in the tires regularly and you'll be fine.

Is anyone running a 19x9.5" or 19x10" J5 or J8 rim up front by any chance?

Well, it is, for the SBC option - +26/+19. I want to go wider, so I can run a 255/285 tire that looks good to me.

I dont think the J8's come in 18's for the Z, they do however come in 18's for other cars.

Hey synth: two questions:

1) do you believe that you can put 255's in front, and 285's in back on your J8's and have it fit without rubbing? Also, would the tire look bulged in your opinion?

2) do you believe that you could fit a wider rim in the front of your Z? I'd like to go to a 10" rim in front if it's possible....

on my next set of tires, I plan on a 255 front and 285 rear. There's a lot of room with the tein s-tech that I have. I don't think it should be a problem at all. Don't know about a 10 in front unless you're gonna seriously stretch the tire and roll/shave the fender.

Stu: your J8s are 19x9"+26 front 19x10"+19 rear?

Those kinda look like the stock Altima SE-R wheels

Same bolt pattern. Not sure what the offset would look like but if they fit I imagine you could get a set from an Altima SE-R guy for a decent price.

In answer to your questions, there is much debate on this topic! I'd did a quick search and this may help answer your first question:

As for question #2, not sure, I'm really not an expert on this matter, there are various variables...

Synth I dont know if I have asked this to you before but do you have lowering springs, if so which? I also have the J8 and want to lower my car, was thinking on Teins S Tech. but am not so sure since they lower the car abit more in teh fron than in the rear even thow the front is already lower than the rear.

I have the TEIN S-Tech's, slight raked look. I'm really happy with them. Check out my pics in my sig to see if you like the look...

WedsSport rims are very light, and strong rims. They are pretty old school classic rims like Advan Model 5's. Great wheels. But IMO, they look better with some smaller and lighter cars like Integra or Civics.
