i just put 285/30 on my rears today and they fit with room to spare. I think i can go 295/30 next time. I dont know if 295/35 will go. I have A g coupe as well and I am on tien felx down an inch all around. I put 285/35 on the front if you were wondering. I will try 265/30 up front next time.

Leo,
you can go to a 295/30 which will be about the same size as the stock, so the speedometer is the same.
Pirelli and Continental make sizes for that. I think Michelin may have one too. That is what I am going with on my next set of tires.

295/35/19 will stick out past your fenders (depending on offset)... I didn't like the look so I changed it to 275/30... 35 series tires were just too much sidewall. Plus, I'm lowering my car some more and I want to tuck the tires. Can't do it with a 295 unless you run some series negative camber.

They easily fit with room to spare as long as your offet is ~43mm.
As you go lower, they will start to interfere with the outer fender lip and require rolling.

"zquicksilver" is the only person I know that's running a 295/35 (most run 295/30 - which is what I would recommend to go with a 255/35) - his rear tire looks HUGE with his 10.5 SF-winnings... next time I'm definitely going with a 295/30 in the rear...

I'm running 275/30-19 on fronts right now. It's about the offset. There's people running 315/25-19, 305/30-19 which is almost the same as 295/35-19. I was going to go with 295/30-19 but got a massive deal on 295/35-19 Yokohama Avis

Damn! And I'm sitting here wandering if my 10" iforged where gonna fit under my car with 1.8" drop and 285/40/18's
I'm currently running 275's and was concerned about the 285's going on this weekend. Sounds like i was way off.

The fundamental reason some have fender clearance issues in the rear is simple. Most seem to like the bling factor of small rear offsets = big lips. Unfortunately the OEM fender was not designed ideally for such low offsets. If you run ~43 offsets in the back , very wide rubber , even 315s fit with clearance. However, so far i've seen no 305/315 in any wheel diameter that meets the stagger requirements of ~.7" to keep VDC happy.
With 265s front and 295s rear (PS2s) I was able to create a near neutral balance by stiffening up my rear 350EVO sways.
