Powdercoat Original Rims
Personally, I like the stock rims that come with the 350Z except on the SS, they are a bit too light. I am thinking about powercoating the rims black to offset the color difference.
My question is has anyone done this or even thought about doing it? I have found a powercoater that says they will do it for $75.00 per rim. Also, is there a photoshop expert that might be able to find a picture with stock rims and convert them to black to get an idea of the results.
Thanks,
R

do it man!! it looks sweet!! there was a black roadster at my dealer the other day that had the dealership paint his black.. looked awesome!!!!!! the dealer quoted me $100 per wheel, but they said they'd warrantee the finish!!!!!! so if you get any chips they'll repain them!
First, thanks Bixby for all the good information and the pictures. The thread has a picture of the exact information I was looking for. I think I will be powder coating this summer, the black rims look amazing. As for the painting, does this work well? The reason I was considering powder coating was because of the durability factor of powder coating. If painting is as durable, that may be a good idea also, which would you all say is a better option?

The painted wheels on the black roadster I told you about looked flawless...I even felt the finish and it was very nice..was definately not coming off/chipping..not to mention the dealer said if it ever does chip they'll recoat them for free....that being said...I'm not quite sure which is "more" durable....
