I'm on 17's because I go through ~3 sets of tires per year and 17" rubber is cheaper.

~16lbs a piece is also helpful.

I luuuuuv BMC's 20s, if properly fitted I think 20s really make the car seem a ton more aggressive. Like Maserati's or something :O, they can pull off 20s easy. But its no exaggeration that you literally have to get your stance perfect

Default ATTN: Fitment GODS....Please chime in with your expertise

So we're ordering a set of custom wheels to be kinda aggressive. But for some reason, the drawing sent to us didn't seem quite right,

Therefore, I'd need your expertise:

on a 20x11 wheels with the following specs:

6" inner barrel
5" outer lip
~5" backspace
-23mm offset

I'm thinking IF 11" wide wheels at 0 offset we would have:

5.5" inner barrel and 5.5" outer barrel:

With the roll off of about 0.5" since backspace includes the roll-offs as well, we would see about almost 6" inner backspace?

So in this case, we have ~5" backspace, that would yield almost 1" offset, which is about -23mm, is that correct?

Thanks,
Kevin

What suspension?. 20s, 11 wide -23?. You really need the wheel gods to chime in but they will need to know your suspension

Default 20inch rims not the ideal wheel for z?

In my new Z owner thread I had mentioned I was thinking about getting 20's for my new z. Someone made the comment not to go larger then 19's but didn't give any reasons. So my question is why wouldnt you want 20's on your z? Are there complications or alterations that need to be done to the car? Any input would be helpful thank you

I think certain wheels look good in 20s, but performace will surely suffer. Even if you find great looking wheels in 20", you would have to be really dropped to pull off that look.

So no, just go with 19s.

Depends on your goals. Show, drift, drag, daily driver, etc.. Physically there's nothing wrong with it. It just comes down to preference and the majority of people here don't like 20s, but if that's what you want, screw everybody else. I've been looking through the wheel and tire threads forever to help me decide what I want that way I don't make a huge mistake and buy wheels that look like crap on the car in person.

There is no ideal wheel for the Z. 20 inches is fine. What you will find is a limited number of 20 inch tires suitable for the Z.
