And 40 series will look fatter than 35 series, but 35 is really short. I wouldn't recommend to 35 series unless you are using a 275 front and 295 rear (and 295 is too wide for a 9.5" wheel).
I decided to go with R:275/40R/18
but I still don't know about the Front: 245/40R/18 or 255/40R/18
don't know the difference between them such as how they will look

Either will work fine, the 245 will have a tad of a stretched look to it on a 9.5" wheel. 255 would look just right, no stretch, no bulge.

I'm running a square 9.5 setup and wish I was running 255/40 and 275/40. The set was on the car when I bought it and has 35 series, which even with being lowered 1" is still too little tire.

Speedometer will read 100.07 @100.0 MPH. This is perfect.

I am currently running 06 stock 18" touring rims on my 350Z F:225/45/18, R:245/45/18
and i bought 18x9.5 aftermarket rims
would F:255/40/18, R:275/40/18 looking more fatter than my current setup even though it has lower profile?
im okay with this setup (F:255/40/18, R:275/40/18) if it doesn't look bulkier or fatter than my current setup (F:225/45/18, R:245/45/18)

so i was considering just getting the sams sizes all around or F:265/35/18, R:295/35/18 (some people said it would be too small if i would not drop my car and 295 might be too wide for 9.5" wheels)

please help~

A 275 mm tire IS 30 mm wider than a 245 mm tire. That is just a simple fact.

That should be fine, though a 255 is tiny for a 9.5" wheel.

I'm currently on a 18 x 9.5 +20 and and have 245/40's and 275/40's. I've done a couple of tracks days and the balance is OK but the 245 in the front is a little too stretched for my taste (but looks ok). I was planning on going to a square 265/35 all the way around or maybe a 255/35 and 265/35 (similar to what the Nismo guys ran the Z33 at when they doing the Z Master stuff) for a little more neutral turn-in. However note, with a 35 aspect in these sizes, you're effectively changing the final drive and speedo readings.

If you are tracking it, why not go square 275?

Square 275 would be ideal on a 10"+ wheel, but IMO 9.5 is better suited for a 265. Also, I'm not sure if additional size is even needed for the car's output. But I'd have to try it to know.

Fair enough, though a LOT of track guys run 275x4 on 17x9 or 18x9 wheels. Hoosier is the only manufacturer I've heard indicate that they prefer a 10" wheel for their (wide) 275 tire. I ran Hoosier R6 tires in 285 and 295 on 10s for awhile, and all appeared optimal. I just changed wheel set-ups to 18x10.5x4 with the 295s, but only have one track day on them so don't have much for feedback.
