The tires can go around the rims but they won't seal, so in short, no.

Default 18" Wheel & Tire Setup Questions

I am currently on stock rims on my 350z with 245/40/18 F and 275/35/18 R. I'm receiving my Varrstoen ES2 18x9.5/10.5 +12/+0 offset. Also I'm getting the Eibach Sportlines lowering springs. I want to be stanced like the picture below but have a stretched tire with not too much lip like the following picture. Question is would I be fine switching my 245/40/18 tires from the front to the back and buying say like 215/225 size tires in the front? Remember I'm going to be dropped with the Eibach Sportlines.. I need serious help for the way I want to sit.

A LITTLE bit less lip than that is what I want.

Mount your current tires on the new wheels. It may work out well for your wants.

Default 18" Wheel Offset Help - Not Clearing Brembos

Ok guys, so I drive a 350z. And I do not have brembos.( thank god). My fiancé drives a G35 and hers is the sport pkg with brembos. Now, we sold her stock 18in wheels. And she bought some xxr 009 18x9.5 +35. The wheels do not clear the brembos......I'm going insane. How is it that the stock wheel offset was +30 and cleared it but the +35 won't? Do we need spacers? Why? I do not understand this offset thing and how it works. You think that wheel would work right? Because it has a higher offset? Idk. Maybe I'm just retarded. Someone please help me though. I need these wheels to fit. What do I need to do? Thanks.

wheel designs/spokes are all different, even if you were to go with the exact same offset they may not fit.

higher offset = closer to car = worse for bbk. You really should do some research

offset and spoke clearance are different. Also you want a lower offset than you have so the car does not look retarded. I suggest a 15mm for the front and 20 to 25 for the rear.

So I'm assuming, wheel offset doesn't matter because it has to be the design of the wheel and spoke design for it to clear these brakes? Don't make fun of me because I don't know and I'm trying to learn. I'm sure you guys had to learn somehow. You didn't just know....anyways, I do know that spacers are sketchy. Well some people think so. What brand spacers do you guys recommend? I know hub centric. But what brand do you trust?

The higher the offset wouldn't it be away from the car? Because negative goes closer to the car and positive goes away from the car?

Flip your coordinate system. Think of the wheel on an axis (let's name it the x axis) as it moves closer and further away from the car. The hub is the 0 point of the axis. The positive x direction points towards the car. The negative x direction points away from the car. As the offset increases (becomes more positive), the wheel gets closer to the car.

I have brembos. always knew it was a bad thing

+1 on spacers. where did you get the wheels from? if from a shop, they shouldve be able to tell you if the wheels wouldve cleared the brembos, providing you gave them the info.

Threads merged since your question has been asked and answered here several times

A couple things to remember is that every wheel design will fit the Brembos differently and your best bet is always to measure or search before you decide to purchase something

There is a stong possibility that even spacers won't let you clear the calipers so you should place the wheel back onto the hub and double-check whether they will clear before ordering spacers.

Default 18" Black wheel available in low offset multi spokes

I'm looking for a 18" black wheel thats available in a low offset with multi spokes that's not too heavy. I've found a few wheels I like but there not available in a low offset...

Something like a

Oz Ultraleggera
Volk RE30

If you think of anything post up a picture.

What offset do you consider low? There are some ADV.1's in the Marketplace that could be painted black.
