i saved this pic a while ago bc this is the color i wanted to paint my rims and someone wrote about who they did it. if this is someones can you please tell me who so i can look up the post on how they did it. thanks

 

that "paint" looks just like brake dust.

 

i got to admit,that looks pretty good.
that guy is on the forumi remember him posting pictures a while back.
i think he had a blue Z..not 2 sure

I can do that to your wheels for $350 in powdercoat. In fact, I will be selling a selling a set of performance rims in gunmetal when I get them back from a friend in the next week or two.

You are right. He probalby lurks on here from time to time, but I usually see him on a different website. He can tell you the story of why he isn't on here much

A lot of my friends paint their rims like these. They use some sort of spray, and the finished product looks really good. And it only costs like $20 to do all 4 rims. And I know they come in bronze, and flat and gloss black, and maybe others. If you're interested, pm me and I can find out what they use and where they get it.

 

yeah i think its the wheel enamel from dupli color or something like that. i think its a dupont wheel enamel and then you put clear coat over it

 

2003z- how long does it usually take to do the wheels. I am looking at having my Track rims done in a gloss black almost like the volk black.

It takes me about 2 weeks, because I have to strip them by hand, with paint stripper, then with a wire wheel and elbow grease. Some places will coat over the paint, but thats not as durable.

Yeah, that car used to belong to Travis. Hes had some personal issues come up and he parted out the car.
