Default CRACKED ROATORS!!!! GLOWING METAL!!!! FUN!!!! need advice and cash:(

ok so these three kids from different counties are at my house. so i take each one for a ride. 10miles each. the first two were done in about half hour with a nice cooling time inbetween. then about an hour and a half later i take the tird kid for a ride. he was form germany so i thought id give it my all. after 5miles of twisty country roads i felt very bad brake fade. so i eased off for the next couple then i got back on it 10miles later i start heading back driving the speed limit and going easy on the brakes for about 2 miles.
I get out of my car and notice that the bike next to me is iluminated in a orange glow radating out from my wheel wells. the hole wheel well was light up with the roators looking like the sun. it was more buitiful than a sun set.

during the trip i healtoe down shifted and used the brakes it was a little bit befor dusk and there was also what apeared to be mealted brake pad splaterd in some places with some ting like paint pealing off the calipers.
the highest speed i hit was probably 90 on the largest sweeper. but it was a lot of 3rd gear and second gear. with the ocasioonal 4th on the sweepers.

well my roatars are ****ed. they cracked and the pades melted and i had to sign a waver to drive it home form the dealer stating that i am aware that the cars brake system "witch still works with loud noises" is in a very dangerous situation.

i figured it was fine to drive home because i did about 140+mph 2 days befor i took it in and they survived the slow desent from that speed.

but now for my quistion. what is my best and cheapest soution to this problame... can i get some nice slotted roatares for the front with high temp pades or do i need to get more. please HELP!
]
thanks in advance.

Awesome, this is the way the Z was meant to be driven. You are lucky to have mountain passes, here in FL we dont have anything. :/ Anyways, I fried my rotors and pads doing a high speed run and having to get on the brakes pretty fiercely because something was in the road. I bought a stop-tech stage 2 setup and love it, dirt cheap and runs great. I would swap out the Hawk HPS pads if you want something that will take more abuse though. Here is a link:

I got mine for much cheaper though. I think it was something under $500... Shop around and then go back to PN Im sure they will price match.

I'd do HP+ pads with the way you drive, not the HPS pads

Yeah, Hawk HPS really aren't the greatest pads. Peeps on here like them because they might be quieter and dust less, but of course if you're serious about brakes, you're not too worried about that. I agree that the HP+ pads are a better choice...

I run both, the HPS pads are nice for everyday driving, but if I know I am going to driving like a maniac I throw the HP+'s on, with the Stoptech kit it is easier to change out the pads though....

Any other damage done other than the pads and rotors?

nope thats it just the pades and the rotors are messed up. it a lot cheaper to fix than i thought though. i was thinking i needed at least 1000 to fix em.

I put on some cheap front rotors I got from a G35 for $35. I'm using Hawk HPS and have no complaints except for some occasional brake squeal. When the front rotors are gone, I'm probably going to upgrade to Stoptech fronts.

I understand drilled rotors have a greater tendancy to crack. I would get slotted.

drilled = bling, with good cooling, might crack

slotted = good cooling and track performance, won't crack
