Default Question on offsets for 19" LE37s

Is it possible to go lower than +22 offset on the front wheels at 9.5, and still fit brembos or stoptechs? Lower offset should give it more of a concave look as well right?

the next lowest offset is +12, which has a lip and concave spokes.

not much more concave than +22 but it will have a lip like the 10.5 +22

at +12 that's pretty far out there for a front wheel, and even if it does fit, it might look odd, but that's a matter of taste. there is a member with the 9.5 +12 on the rear and it sticks out and looks similiar to the 10.5+22. however, another member recently complained that the 9.5 +12 didnt fit the rear. do a search on TE37 and +12 reveals this thread
https://my350z.com/forum/showthread....hlight=TE37+12

look for the thread with the sf challenges +11 9.5 fronts and that will give you an idea as well

the rays site lists it as not clearing brembos, but i'm not sure anyone has done it to confirm

my opinion, for what that's worth, is don't do it

good luck

This guy knows his wheels. He is dead on. I saw a G35 this weekend with +12 LE37's 9.5" on the front with a big brake kit. The lip looks identical to the +22 10.5" wheels. So I would say yes they would fit brembo's, but Im not sure how they would look on the Z-the G35 looked good but that had a body kit that complimented the wheels.

Hmm would there be problems running uneven offsets of +12 on 9.5" fronts, and +22 on 10.5" rears?

lots of people run different offsets front rear on other wheels
for example, some run the TE37's/LE37's in 8.5 +29 and 9.5 +34, this is the stillen car setup

another setup is the volk sema car that ran LE37's 8.5 +22 and 10.5 +35

just happens that the most common setup used for LE37's are the +22's in the 8.5/9.5 or 9.5/10.5 variety

another note is that +12 also places more stress on your suspension components as the weight of the wheel is further away

i knew i had a picture of the G35 around somewhere, here it is (9.5 +12 front 10.5 +22 rear). sorry to the owner of this car since i can't give credit since i don't know who's car it is. hope they don't mind me posting the pic.

here is the sf-challenges in 9.5 +11 front to give you an idea of how far out a +12 would look on the front of a Z (vs the G above)

the car is drumma022 on this site

Hmm I kinda like the fat lip look on front and back... makes it seem balanced, especially on that G35

Wow thanks for the pics! Those offsets really do make the car look great, and real mean.

the other issue with the offset being that far out is the turn in response goes to hell, and the car tends to be twitchier than needed when going straight....all depends what your primary goals are.

the +22 setup is the most flexible in terms of fitment, looks, performance and no needing additional mods, but comes down to personal tastest largely.

Having seen tons of cars with a variety of offsets, my favorite is the 8.5/9.5 +22 - makes the car look "proper" and not out of balance (I personally do not like the look of that brickyard with his offsets, but as I said, it's a matter of personal taste)

I'm more of a 'form follows function' kind of enthusiast. Therefore I am more appreciative of a high offset front wheel that will fit a big brake kit. I guess a lot of performance car enthusiasts' tastes are derived from racing...take a look at GT porsche 911 race cars or the Vipers...the front wheel face is pretty far out, if not flush with the lip, to fit the calipers while having a deep dish in the rear. With this in mind, big lips on the front wheels just look odd to me...kind of a perceived contradiction to racing practice. Obviously this is all my own opinion so take a grain of salt with it.

I went with a 18x9.5 +22 front just so I could fit 275/40/18 front tires to match the rears for overall neutral handling and to eliminate understeer at autocross and track events. I could've gone with 18x9 +12 fronts to get a deeper lip look but it wouldve come at the expense of tire width choices and not having a BBK. I just ordered a set of 19" wheels and went with 9" fronts with a +22 offset which will look clean and flush with the wheelwell and not compromise bbk fitment or cause undue suspension stress by having the rubber considerably further outward.
