Default Yeah....I'm actually asking for your opinions...

Here is the deal: Just before I put my Z in storage I went through an automated car wash to get the underbody flushed....my bad! The wheel grabber thingy marred one of my front wheels. Turns out the carwash had never had this problem before...but probably hadn't seen a lot of low profile tires. The damage is purely surface...but the wheel does require refinishing. Since I sell industrial chemicals and could get all four wheels stripped for nothing (which would normally be rather expensive) I'm talking the owner of the carwash into paying for the professional painting of all four wheels instead of the replacement of the one wheel. I explained that although it could be repaired by a wheel shop...the finish may very well look ever so slightly different than the other three and this would not be satisfactory. He doesn't want to pay the $577 for a replacement OEM (not suggesting he should have to), but suggested that I strip and prep all four and he pay to paint them and he'd be ahead and I'd be ahead.

So...now that you have the background here is the question:
What color should I paint them? I think a dark gunmetal would look sweet. The reason I ask is because I am ultimately getting aftermarket wheels for fitment reasons and want to paint them the highest demand color. If you wanted something different than everyone else....what color would you choose? Last note is that these will be availabel for sale after I have them refinished...possibly to your color choice if you put a deposit down. Otherwise I will paint them the color that gets the highest votes and place an add afterward.

Your preferences????

i agree with the gunmeatal...
i like it, but it depends on weather it will match your car or not, except with gunmetal, it will pretty much match anything.
hey if you do paint em gunmetal, you dun have to worry about the brake dust!

err...something chrome-like but not chrome? Does that make sense? I'd be interested in those...I've heard there's something like that out there.

The colors I'd have available are ANY OEM body color OR wheel color. So when responding...if you are thinking of a specific color, please reference what car...what year...etc.

Thanks

High Gloss Black, it goes with all colors and no worries of brake dust either.

On another note, if you paint them how will the durability be? I mean are they gonna get all scratched up when you have the tires mounted?

oldskooler, some companies call that a "brilliant silver" somewhat like the CS color, I agree, that is what I would do.

I know where another guy parks his LeMans Z for hours at a time...where I could easily swap out his wheels with mine once they are painted pink.....it would nearly be worth the trouble to get his expression on video when he comes out to see his car has been vandelized in a way no other ever has Should I contact "The Kennedy Experiment"? Or "Candid Camera"?
