Todd at Discount Tires:

Yesterday I was stopped going home because of 3 tiny inches of snow in Larkspur, Colorado. My 350Z was all over the road and unable to go up a slight hill. Turned around and went to my friends house to drop off my Z and hop into his truck to get home.

This morning I went looking for snow tires and can tell you I had a very good buying experience at the Lone Tree [south of Denver] store. The sales guy Chris got on the phone and found 2 Vredestein [225-40-R18] tires for the front and 2 Pirelli [245-45-HR-18] snow tires for the rear. The other tire dealers I called tried to sell me crap and "after market" 17" tires when they couldn't find the correct sizes.

Long story short--I went up the hills leading to my home with no trouble this evening and even climbed my steep driveway with no problems at all. My Z was safe and my mind set at ease when I realized I CAN drive my Z safely in the snow.

My problem solved in one work day. My hat is off to the Discount Tire Company and the good work of Chris.

Are the wheels pictured the silver ones? You state they are only availbale in Hyperblack and Silver but the rims pictured look silver.

How much would they run for a 19x8.5 in the front and 19x9.5 in the rear?

Im very interested in these so please get back to me ASAP!

I went by the Discount Tire here today to find that out. The wheels werent even listed in there database yet so the rep called up someone and finally got a price. The 8.5 was $830 each and the 9.5 was $850 each. He laughed and said, "Do thy at least look nice?" At that price I think some Volk's, SSR's, or HRE would all be a much better pick.

Todd, can you get a better price on them? Is that what they are running? i couldnt believe it when the Discount Tire Rep here in San Antonio worte down those numbers. Mucho Casho!!

That isnt much cheaper! I love the look, but cant justify the price. maybe if they had a damn ince fat lip on them but in all the pics I have seen the lip has been non existant. Maybe if they ran between $480-550 I would be game, but not in the $750-850 range I have heard and seen them now going for.
