Recently when VDC is off and I hit it hard the slip light comes on and doesn't "reset" until I turn the key off and restart. Am I starting to develope a problem?

I had that same problem a few months ago except that my VDC was on and I really wasn't cornering that fast. I took my car to Performance Nissan and they couldn't find anything wrong. It hasn't happened again.

 

It's normal as far as I know. My car does that too.

1) Turn off VDC
2) Make donuts
3) Watch the slip light stay on until you restart car
4) Repeat

 

I don't have VDC but if I turn of my TCS and do a few donuts or something the slip light will stay on until I restart my car. Once it threw my brake light and ABS light after a few donuts too. All of them went away after restarting the car.

 

Check your brake fluid. I have had this happen when the fluid is low since the brake system is tied in with the VDC. When I use to kick it into 2nd or take a corner fast the SLIP light would come on. Topped up fluid and the problem went away.
