TPS Warning Light
Recently upgraded from stock 18's to PIAA Super Rozza 19's/ BFG TA KDW's. Unfortunately, the stock TPS sensors were not able to be installed on the PIAA's. Not a big deal IMO. But what is happening now is after driving 60 miles or so, the TPS warning light comes on. I've checked the tire pressure and it seems fine at 35PSI. Any idea why it comes on after a time. Why not on all the time? Why come on at all ? Anything to worry about ?
Been driving without the TPS for over a year. Like you said it comes on after 50 miles or so for me but once I turn off the engine and start her back up the light is gone. I think it's coming on due to the fact that it doesn't read a signal. Don't think it should matter....
That's the problem -- there's no signal from the TPS, so it is warning you that it can't read the pressure sensors so you may have a problem.
If it annoys you, remove the bulb behind the low-tire-pressure warning light.
