Conti Sport Contact 2 in 305/25/20
Anyone running these tires/sizes? I'm looking to switch to a 305/25/20 for the rear and 245/30/20 for the front and it's between Conti and Pirelli in these sizes. With this Greddy TT I need maximum dry traction. My wheels are 20x9 front and 20x10.5 rear. From my research the sizes should work and it appears the Conti is better.
Thanks,
Ron

i don't have those sizes, but i do have the conti sc2's on my 19s (255/35 and 285/35). i am very happy with them and don't have any complaints or regrets.
although continental's going to discontinued this tire and its being replaced, so availability of the tire in the size you want may be limited.

Ive seen a 305/25/20 on the rear of a Z but I didnt know the rim width or offset. It looked good and didn't look like there was any problems rubbing. I don't remember what the guy was running in the front.

that what i'm talking about. The tire and wheel flush right in. Love it. How much for the rear tire? fender need to be cut? required?
can you take a side view of the car but concentrate more on the rear a bit? Thanks

Looks great! How much of difference in traction did you notice (if you can describe it)? What rear tire size did you change from? Are you running 10.5" rims? Did you roll/cut your fenders?
I now have 10s in the rear but I'm considering moving up to 10.5s or 11s so I can run the 305s if it's worth it. Do you think the increase in traction you got would be worth the cost of new rear wheels? Was it substantial?

Wheels are 10.5; changed from a 285/30/20 Michelin Pilot Sport A/S. The new tires were about the same price as the Michelins.

Thanks for the info. I'm running Falkens GRBs right now with worthless traction all the way through 1st and second, so this sounds really tempting. Oh, did you roll/trim your fenders?
