Angry Uneven rear tyre wear

I've stock 18" rims, and I'm now at the end of the second set of rears. The problem is that my left rear in wearing out quicker than my right and this also happend on my previous rear tyres. Is this a differential problem or is this normal?

I do tend to drive without the traction control on (ESP). My tyre measurements at the moment are 1.6mm (left) and 3mm (right).

Any ideas?

Try leaving traction control on? It takes a few moments for the differential to lock, and maybe the left looses traction first cuz of the way you drive.. What is the airpressure in both ur tires? Where are you measuring from? The same point on the thread?
Maybe your fat and your weight is making it wear faster :-D

Sounds to me like you need your rears set up correctly as far as toe-in and camber are concerned. Find a suspension shop who works on race cars - they will understand your needs and set it up correctly but make sure you tell them it's a street car!

A lot of Z's (mine included - a 2005 Track) came from the factory out of spec - it's easily fixed though and the sooner you do it the better your tires will wear and the more $$ you will have to spend on other mods.

No wonder. You drive on the wrong side of the road.

That's normal, and davidv is "right", you're turning too hard in the "round about" (I don't know how you call them), wearing more the left side, your left fronts will wear faster too. In France, it's our right side that's more exposed.

Thanks froggy. I must admit I do tend to put the power down prior to the island's exit, which now explains why my left wears out quicker.

That makes my happy as I know there isn't a fault with my car. Trust a european to find the answer as the americans don't know what a decent corner looks like with all their straight boring road
