hi

i want to put on an aftermarket strut but donīt know excactly what to choose???how about the JiC carbon fibre strut???

are there any disadvanteges if you choose a carbon strut???

 

Can you provide more information. What is it about the OEM strut brace that you do not like? What are your interests in an aftermarket strut brace?

 

aftermarket strut bar are mainly for looks. they won't do anything much different than the oem bar.

if plan on getting a plenum or plenum spacer, your choices of strut bars are limited.

 

for one thing the JIC strut bar is wrapped in CF, If you want a really nice one get a greddy or cusco strut bar, but if you got money to burn get a ARC Ti strut bar, they are really nice.

the only reason why i want to go for a aftermarket strut is only the look.
because i thnik it would fit the paint job i did to the engine cover.

 

As mentioned, specific applications might require a unique strut bar. But for looks, get the one you want.

So what you guys are saying is that there are no aftermarket strut bars that are stronger than the stocker? I need something to clear my AAM spacer and I want something noticably stronger than stock....

 

For the most part, the oem is already an excellent bar. It would be hard press to find one stronger unless you dish out alot of cash.

 

The design of the OEM strut brace is debatable. The brace does not attach to the top of the strut. You may as well refer to the strut brace as a strut tower brace. Consider also that the OEM brace is bent, and a straight piece of metal would be stronger. Since the brace must fit over the plenum, I believe that the design is as good as it needs to be.

 

What abot crawford... Iw will clear any plenum you decide to get and the metal bar is stright, so it could be stronger.
