Default PICS Curbed 2006 Z, need input!

The highway dept. has just finished an off ramp to my in-laws house off I-40 that I have never used before. Tonight I learned that once you leave the interstate and merge onto a 2 lane one way service road, there is a 4 inch tall lane divider that can not be seen from the driver's position. The divider stretches about a mile long, and I was lucky to kiss the last 10 feet of it. I was traveling about 45 and was nearly parallel as I was looking to change lanes. Thus when I smacked it, and corrected, the rear wheel curbed and has about 25% of the damage as this front wheel.

While I would like to say the icy weather had something to do with it, I have to blame the lack of visibility of this curb more so.

Have we decided the best way to repair wheels? I understand this could be a $250+ repair, but I am sure I want to repair these ONE MONTH OLD wheels. I need suggestions here. I saw the link to http://www.mobilewheelrepair.com/ but there are none in AR.

there is one guy here sell just one 06 wheel. You can just buy the new wheel. That was a huge curb.

I can't imagine buying a new wheel in lieu of repairing one being economically viable. Besides, I have 2 damaged wheels.

just get it repaired. wont look good as new but hardly noticable

i thought you only damage one.

Wheel Technologies has a good reputation for wheel repair and charges a flat rate of $125 per wheel.-

They look like they know what they are doing and are pretty close to me, however, I see that they want an account setup with them. Do you know if they have a minimum cost per order?

Off Topc, but it burns me that the 06 has the same wheels as the 35th Anv. On the good side, makes finding replacements easier

really spinning? never imagined a wheel would do that at 45 mph. there must be a tsb about this

i think he meant that was a huge curbing, and used curb for short.


gl with the repair, its gonna be pricey.

turbax (www.turbax.com) in Florida does a great job. I had some rash repaired on a wheel and it came out perfect.

I've sent only one wheel to them before and they didn't have a problem with it. It was an iforged with a 4" lip and a huge bend and chunk taken out, and they did an ok job. (not perfect, but they didn't have much to work with). I'm sure they could fix yours perfect. Plus, they have a really quick turnaround.

Well last week I got these fixed at DENT DOCTOR in Little Rock.

They have a mobile repair guy that came to the parking lot and did it in an afternoon for $120 for both wheels.

They look great, he sanded them down, filled the gaps and matched the color. You can't even tell where they were damaged.
