Default Will this wheel/tire combo rub???

I just got a set of 19" Superleggera III's and I am a little worried about them rubbing. My G is lowered about 3/4 of an inch all the way around. Here is the setup -
Front - 19x9 +27 offset with 245/35 tires
Rear - 19x11 +40 offset with 295/35 tires

What do you all think? Am I safe?

rears might just clear, depending on camber... best bet is to just roll the fenders man.

+40 offsets with an 11 inch rim is still going to be tucked. The outer edge of the rim is about the equivalent of a +33.7 offset 10.5in wheel. Take into effect the negative camber from the 3/4 inch drop, and the tire not bulging out much on the 11 inch wheel, and you *should* be okay. It will be close, though.

I agree with taurran. The front will be fine. Maybe a little sunk in by about 7-8mm's but the rear you may have backspacing issues. Please let us know how it goes

Thanks for the replies, is there anyone out there with a setup like this that can chime in?

My rears will be tucked in 2mm more than the Strosek Z, the fronts 7mm more. I'm not worried about the fronts, just the rears. The Strosek Z is dropped 25mm (a little under 1") for these photos. The tires are 245/35 up front (same as mine) but 275/35 in the rear. This is what worries me.

Hmmm.. if what you say about the car in those pics is correct, looks like you'll need to cut or roll the fenders. You might start checking around at local body and performance shops to see how much they charge. I'd recommend cutting as it gives you more clearance.

At least that is what the Strosek website says. I hope I don't have to do any fender work. The Z in the pics is dropped .98 of an inch, so, an inch. I'm hoping that 1/4 of an inch makes it work.

Can't say for sure on a G, but I have an 11" rear with a +28 305 tire and there is about .25 inches clearance from the tire to shock. I have Tein coilovers and the closet part is actually a washer, your suspension may provide a little more clearance. You are moving your wheels in about .5 inches closer to the shock than mine. Tires will make a difference, mine will be slightly wider , yours will be taller. I don't think +40 would work on mine.
I have the fenders rolled , no problems there but will rub inside at extreme angles.

According to your calculations redlineZ these rims won't even fit on my car, right. You're saying that my tires will be about .5" closer than yours to the shock and yours is .25" away from the shock, I'm confused.

I don't think they will. If you have the wheels, I would put one on the car before you mount the tires. I'm guessing you are going to use BFG's , they are only .2 of an inch narrower and about .7 taller than my Pirelli's. Thats a big tire. Again, I can only say for my setup.

The wheels and tires came off of a another Z. There wasn't any rubbing issues but that was on stock suspension.

Are you sure of the width and offset? I'm surprised it fits on a Z, but I've been wrong before. I can see why you were confused , but if you knew they didn't rub on a Z why would you worry?

Because I'm dropped 3/4 of an inch, the Z they came off of was still rolling on stock suspension, I want to make sure I don't need any type of spacer or fender rolling done. I tried contacting Jason@Performance with a couple of PM's with no response

The place I would be concerned is the inside of the rear wheel. It may touch the shock. Front it fine. Rear is fine on the fender side.

I had 2 PM's from you mid february about spacers... they were answered...

That set up will work in the rear no problem.. will be tucked in a little bit compared to other set ups... you could even run a 10mm spacer would make it perfect IMHO...
