Default ? about TPS and changing rims

I was wanting to know about the TPS on the Z's. I have TPS and was wanting to know what if i were to get new rims n tires? Are these sensors just specifically meant for stock z rims and cannot be changed to put into aftermarket rims??

Also what is a good offset to have for a Z

TPMS relies on sending units inside the wheels. Can the units be moved to aftermarket wheels? Yes.

People here seem to like the 9.5/10.5 wheel setup with +22 offset. That is what I'm planning on getting as well. I've seen several posts with pictures and this setup looks sweet man!

I am being told that a lot of aftermarket wheels won't support it.

I was told by Volk that my TPS's wouldn't work on my new wheels. Yet, I didn't have a problem getting them to fit and work.

I always thought that with a staggered set up you want to run a different offset in front and back? That way your larger wheel/tire in the rear will fit in the wheel well? I am pretty weak on offset, yet all the wheel manufactures I have talked to recommend the same.

Hmm, I've talked to some manufactures and they told me that for different wheels (width/diameter/brand), the wheel comes in a standard set of offsets. Like if you were to get the LE37Ts from Volk Racing (the ones I want), 19" with a width of 10.5, that wheel for the Z has a specific set of offsets that you can choose from. You can't buy a custom offset or choose from any offset you want. That wouldn't make sense for a wheel manufacturer to make the same wheel with a hundred different types of offsets for people to choose from.

So to get back to your quote, I guess it all depends on which offsets you choose within those offset choices. Since you're not going to get different wheels front and back, it's up to you to mix and match.

Then again, I'm not an offset guru either.
