Default Wheel pressure sensor question

I noticed that I am not getting any pressure reading from my back right wheel. I am not real sure about how this system works. Is there a sending unit in each tire, and does this sensor use a battery to send pressure signals? If it is a battery I would be willing to bet that it is a worn out battery, to I have to take the wheel off to change the battery?

Not sure about the battery but there is a sensor in every tire. You would have to remove the tire from the wheel to repair/replace the sensor.

If your car is still under warranty... take it to Nissan

Correct. And if there is a battery inside most likely its not user replaceable.

The battery is internal to the sensor. The manufacturer claims a 10 year life so the sensor has probably died, not the battery. It could also be that the computer suffered a glitch and it's not seeing the correct ID for the sensor. The dealer can try to reassign them and see if that picks it up.

If it's not covered under warranty, don't buy one through the dealer. You can pick one up used on the forum for $25 - $50. The dealer will charge > $200 for a new one.

Thank you, I will call the dealer and make an appointment and see what they will do for me.
