Default New Wheels & Tires Causing Z To Slip??

I just got my Z back from the shop. I had 19" Axis Matrix rims & Nitto tires (Fr-245-35-19 & Rr-275-35-19) installed along with some suspension mods. While driving the car last night the "SLIP" light kept coming on. I turned off the traction control and that seems to have solved the problem. What's causing this??? Should I be concerned?? Will I have to keep the TCS off?? Do I need to recalibrate the speedo?? ANY would feedback woudl be appreciated.

Mine does the same thing every so often. It's most likely the offset on the new rims confusing the TCS. You just have to keep it off.

Sizes seem fine... It might be because they are brand new tires.. wear them in for 50-100 miles then see if you still slip..

That thought crossed my mind. Comforting to hear from another "Z" brother. I will definately monitor this situation.

I think this does have something to do with th problem. I have heard disconnecting the battery would allow the ECU to reset itself. Think that might help???

I have this same problem. I just drive with it off. I hate that s***. It seems to happen for no reason. Mainly on long sweeping on/exit ramps.

+1. The size should not cause a problem with TCS. Keep in mind that new tires are slippery on the road surface. Give the tires say 100 miles and keep us posted.

UPDATE>>>>>>>>

I have put about 1k on the tires....still get the "SLIP" light occassionally. But no real degradation in performance. Thought I would let everyone know.
