Default MAximum front and rear tire sizes?

I am wondering if anyone knows the theoretical maximum tire sizes, or if I'm just an idiot and this sin't a problem. WIll the Z handle superwide rear tires, say...335x55, or something close to that? Assuming, of course, that my rims are that size.

Default ????????????

No comment on the Idiot question but you asked..... A 335/55 would fit perfect on the rear if it was on a 11" RIM, but probably wouldn't clear the brakes, and the side wall would be 7.7". I don't think the Z would handle good. If you serious want to slow down the car that much, You could probably fit a 335/30/18 which is what comes stock on a VIPER!!!! You would need a 11" wheel also........ So, In reality, If you were pushing 450 HP like a viper, then you might want to try.... I personally am going with a 275/35/18 on the back......................

Sorry for the confusion. Within 4 months of getting this car I'm going to have a looooad of **** on the engine. It should be churning out a moderate number of extra horses A new clutch will obviously be necessary, and I was thinking of sticking some wide *** Pirelli Assimetricos on as well. You're right though, my tire size is a bit extreme. Sorry for that :P

Default Nothing to be sorry about.....

You could probably go with a 305/30/18 or 19 without a problem on a 10.5" or 11" wheel...... Like I said, I'm going to go with a 275/35 on a 18x9.5 on the back and a 245/40/18 on 8.5" in the front.....

Why 275/35/18 on the rear?
Doesn't 275/40/18 match the stock rear 18's diameter better?

Default I have the 17's....

275/40/18 is a little taller than my stock 235/50/17... I would rather have it a little shorter for better acceleration.......

Actually if you want better acceleration you want a SHORTER sidewall, not a taller one.

Thats what I said, He asked me why I was going with a 275/35 instead of a 275/40 and I said because I would rather have it a little shorter than taller.....
